St. Brigid's College currently offers, subject to demand,
a Post Leaving Certificate course (P.L.C.) in Childcare which
is validated by FETAC. The Post Leaving Certificate Childcare
Course at St. Brigid’s College has been running successfully
1997. Offering subjects ranging from Computers to Child Development,
this course attracts mature students and school leavers alike.
Backed by a very professional and experienced teaching team,
students enjoy the privileges of small group tutorials, in
a special self contained teaching room located within the
main college grounds.
The course is very student friendly and with our flexi-hours
program students find that both the full time and part time
option accommodate busy family life. With the added bonus
of low exam fees and availability of grants for eligible students,
the PLC Childcare Course at St. Brigid’s is an attractive
option.
Firm links have been established between third level colleges
and FETAC. These links facilitate students by reserving a
fixed number of places in certain third level courses for
students holding a relevant award. The one year FETAC award
offered by St. Brigid's College therefore acts as a foundation
and stepping stone for further study. This certificate is
designed to provide access to employment and progression to
further education and training.

This is a one year full-time course designed to help prepare
